During the three-person semifinal match of the 2014 PBA Cheetah Championship, Anthony Pepe needed one more strike for perfection, which would've made him the second player in PBA history to bowl 300 in his television debut (Bob Benoit was the first). Instead, Pepe got five on his final shot and put up the only televised 295 game in PBA history.

Pepe defeated Brad Angelo and Liz Johnson in the semifinal match and then went on to defeat Dick Allen in the championship match, giving Pepe his first PBA Tour title.
