Philadelphia Union joins Orlando City in advancing to the knockout stage of the MLS is Back Tournament out of Group A thanks to a 2-1 win vs. Inter Miami. Kai Wagner's first-ever goal in Major League Soccer put the Union ahead five minutes in, but Miami's marquee signing for its expansion season, Rodolfo Pizarro, beat Andre Blake later in the first half to level the score. Philadelphia sealed the win just about halfway through the second half, when Kacper Przybylko finished off a counter attack with his first goal of the season. Inter Miami and NYCFC are now in danger of failing to reach the last 16, as both sides have failed to register a point in Group A. Miami still has failed to register a single point in its first season, losing all four matches it has played.
