Cedric Rossi’s Sealiway was an unexpected winner of the Qipco Champion Stakes.
The French-trained colt was sent off at 12-1 and began to take up the lead under Mickael Barzalona with two furlongs remaining.
Only runner-up Dubai Honour (6-1) could go with him as he ran on to the line, with 40-1 shot Mac Swiney coming home in third.
