The 2020 MLB season will always be remembered as the MLB coronavirus season, and the team that best personified that was the 2020 Miami Marlins. The 2020 Marlins covid outbreak threatened to cancel the season right at its onset, yet they persisted. Fast forward 60 games, and baseball fans were stunned to see the Marlins clinch playoffs. They even outplayed Chicago, putting together numerous Marlins vs Cubs highlights.

Some topics discussed in this video include the Derek Jeter Marlins takeover and the Marlins firesale (including the Christian Yelich trade). We'll see appearances from all kinds of contributors, including various Sixto Sanchez highlights. Especially huge considering the JT Realmuto trade.

Ultimately for Miami, the Braves Marlins NLDS ended their season, not a shocker considering the Braves Marlins 29-9 debacle, but the team had outperformed all possible expectations. This is a team that leaves behind a unique legacy -- although it's one I hope won't be repeated. Pandemic baseball is not something that should be the norm, even if it made for some great Marlins baseball. I hope you all enjoy this episode of Baseball Bits, a Foolish Baseball production. It was fun to make, and I enjoyed using the Marlins as a lense to review the 2020 MLB season. At least Jeffrey Loria is gone.
