Check out this Monster take out the 1/8th mile in 5 seconds on Ice at the Merrill Ice Drags. It is hard to believe that any vehicle can actually drag race on Ice no less throw down over 1,000 horse power and still hook up enough to go that fast and still keep it under control. See in this video how it is done.

The driver of this green Dragster Keith Krueger is the World Record Holder of the fastest vehicle to go down the 1/8th mile on ice ever. He ran a 5.431 at 138 Miles Per Hour. Here is some specs on his Dragster. It has a 509 cubic inch BBC with a 1471 Littlefield blower. It is detuned for running on the ice and puts out about 1200 horsepower. It also has a turbo 400 transmission and a Dana 60 rear end. His Dad (that you see lining him up and at the end of the video) built everything from the chassis to the motor and he does all the mechanical work and keeps it running year after year. The damage at the Snodeo event a rocker arm broke in half and the broken piece got lodged between the valve cover and another rocker arm ending up pulling out a rocker stud which built pressure because valves didn't open and blew the burst panel on the intake manifold and also bent some valves.
