Malott won his first title in the 2005 Mile High Classic, defeating Mika Koivuniemi in the title match. Malott owned the 2008-2009 season, winning three titles and earning Player of the Year honors. Plus, Malott dominated the 2009 King of Bowling, rolling two perfect 300 games in the process.

The 2013 U.S. Open was Malott's first major championship, taking down Jason Belmonte in the championship match.

In 2019, Malott was named the Mark Roth PBA League MVP as he led his Portland Lumberjacks to their first ever Elias Cup Championship.
