Shohei Ohtani. That’s what this is about. Yep. Another Shohei Ohtani Angels video. The Week of Shohei Ohtani 2018 highlights just what a splash he made in Major League Baseball. In the days following the Shohei Ohtani MLB debut, he hit an Ohtani HR vs Kluber, added two more dingers, and in a Shohei Ohtani vs Oakland game, struck out 12 A’s.

Some topics discussed in this video include the Shohei Ohtani splitter, Corey Kluber, and Shohei Ohtani NPB highlights, particularly his ridiculous 2016 season with the Nippon Ham Fighters. In the week of Ohtani, he transitioned that success into one insane week with the Los Angeles Angels.

Of course, sustaining that two-way success isn’t really something that has happened. 2020 has left us in the wake of yet another Shohei Ohtani injury, one that has us questioning his legitimacy as a rotation piece and power bat. He may have to choose at some point. But even if he does, his legacy is already secure. The 2018 Ohtani Rookie of the Year campaign was great as a whole, but it was best represented by The Week of Ohtani.
