The Baseball Bat Bros test out the age-old question: which is better: a one-piece BBCOR baseball bat? Or a two-piece BBCOR baseball bat?
To bring this test to life, we brought out two bats that are very similar: the DeMarini Voodoo (both the Voodoo Balanced and the Voodoo Insane) and the DeMarini Voodoo One.
Which one has better bat speed? Which one has more pop?
Check out the new 2020 DeMarini Voodoo and Voodoo One here: https://www.headbangersports.com/?rfsn=3706058.e0a14b
The 2-piece DeMarini Voodoo (balanced) is one of the few lighter swinging hybrid bats out there - some of the more popular aluminum or alloy barreled bats with composite handles like the Select from Louisville Slugger, and The Goods from DeMarini will be much more endloaded. The Voodoo Insane (now transitioned to the DeMarini The Goods in 2020) is definitely a heavier bat that is going to hit for power.
We'll cover this in our next video, but if the most important thing to you as a hitter is a light-swinging bat, we'd recommend you try out a composite bat. The CF Zen, The Meta (formerly Meta Prime), the Easton Maxum 360 and the Quatro from Rawlings are a few of our favorite light-swinging composite bats.
