The Baseball Bat Bros try out 2 of the cheapest BBCOR bats of 2020 - the F5 from Marucci and the Metal from Stringking.

We're finding that it's not too difficult to find a bat with a 4 or 5 in 'power' on the Bat Bro Scale in the $100-$250 range. The only benefits a $300-$500 are going to get you in addition is a bigger sweet spot, more comfortable feel (flex & sting reduction), and a slightly better swing weight to pop ratio.

Stringking Metal BBCOR:
-Traditional endloaded one-piece swing weight
-1 piece alloy
-Stiff/Zero Flex
-A mild ping and almost a crack at times
-Pretty average sweet spot - but solid performance towards the end of the bat.
-Pop was very impressive. This thing can lowkey launch.
-Thin grip
-$120

Marucci F5 BBCOR:
-Relatively balanced - similar swing weight to the Easton Alpha
-1 piece alloy
-Stiff/Zero Flex
-Loud ping
-Pretty small sweet spot
-Not very much pop off the barrel
-Really thick grip
-$130
